White sandy beaches may take the spotlight, but Florida is home to 1,000 freshwater springs, the highest density in the world. A birds-eye-view of the forest often reveals a magnificent pool of freshwater emerging from the aquifer below. Jump in and you may experience the coveted feeling of flight as you soar in the air-clear water.

Florida evokes daydreams of white sandy beaches and palm trees – but perhaps the most magnificent water in Florida lies just out of sight. In the Sunshine State, water fills the limestone cavities of the Floridan aquifer beneath our feet. This is the source of drinking water for 92% of Floridians. But this water is not always hidden - where it finds its way to the surface, it forms marvelous freshwater springs, which support not only human life in Florida but also incredibly diverse and unique aquatic ecosystems. In fact, Florida is home to the highest density of freshwater springs in the world – more than 1,000 of them dot the karst landscape of the sunny peninsula.
Unfortunately, increasing development and growing pressures on water resources are having negative impacts on Florida’s springs. Over the past 15 or 20 years, Florida’s burgeoning population has had a plethora of consequences for the springs, namely decreases in flow due to over-pumping and a transition from native underwater grasses to nasty algae. Nitrate levels in the springs have skyrocketed and ecosystem dynamics have changed as food webs are altered.
Thankfully there are many passionate citizens and non-profit organizations that advocate for our springs, work to protect them, and raise awareness about their unique beauty as well as their decline. One of these groups is the Alachua Conservation Trust, a non-profit regional land trust created to address the need of protecting critical natural lands from development and degradation in North Central Florida. 10% of profits from our springs prints go their Young Leaders for Wild Florida program. YLWF supports participants to become Florida's next generation of environmental leaders through educational outdoor adventures, workshops with leaders in our community exploring environmental issues and career paths, and student-led advocacy projects.
"Thanks to the support of Waterlust and its customers, ACT's Young Leaders for Wild Florida Program continues to successfully provide youth education on freshwater springs protection and land protection to Florida's future generations of leaders. Partnering with Waterlust on these efforts is both rewarding and critical to conserving Florida's precious natural resources."

Love, love, love it!!
I have been looking for this style of suit for years--but brands wouldn't carry extended sizes, or the torso was way too short to accomodate both my height and mid-fat body, or the arms were too tight... But finally, I have the suit I've wanted!! I have only two gripes (small ones): first, the seam going down the back isn't centered on the gusset so I'll probably have some wedgie issues once I'm in the water; and secondly, if you have sensory issues, the seams might be a little bit itchy. I was able to adjust to it but if that's a major concern for you, just know you'll need a work around.
The zipper pull is a very generous length, but for me and my mobility I'll need to get creative or get help zipping up. Not a big deal, but something I noticed.
The pattern is stunning, the fit is pretty good, I love the thumbholes, and I'm just so excited to take my two suits with me on an anniversary trip that's coming up. Because I'll be in the water non-stop, I bought a second suit so I always have an extra available!
If the inclusive sizing wasn’t already a major deciding factor, the customer service is over the top exceptional. 10/10 will be purchasing again
Thank you
Although I purchased the largest size available, it doesn’t fit and I have to return it. I’m a big and active woman who needs larger than a 3X.
I could tell that the quality of the item was excellent though.
Thanks anyway.
Love everything I have purchased! Fit is perfect. Can’t wait to use it CZM in 6 days. Really wish you would make long sleeve, long shirt rash guards being 55 I don’t want my belly hanging out lol. I do love the new line of rashie but again not for my age group
